Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Part-time Bar Manager to oversee our evening operations at our Port Augusta venue. This pivotal role requires someone passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, managing a bustling bar environment, and leading a dedicated team. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth service during peak evening hours, maintaining high standards of beverage quality, stock control, and compliance with all licensing regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all evening bar operations, ensuring efficient and high-quality service.
- Supervise, train, and motivate bar staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock rotation, and wastage control.
- Ensure compliance with all RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) regulations and venue policies.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area.
- Process end-of-shift reports and cash handling procedures.
- Contribute to the development of drink menus and promotions.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in bar management or a supervisory role within hospitality.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong knowledge of beverage products, including cocktails, beers, and wines.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Current RSA certificate (Responsible Service of Alcohol).
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Hospitality Management.
- Experience with POS systems and inventory software.
- First Aid certification.
- Local knowledge of the Port Augusta hospitality market.
