Job Description
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Night Shift Security Officer to join our team on a part-time roster in Laverton, VIC. This role is crucial for maintaining the safety and security of our client’s premises during night hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, responding to incidents, and ensuring access control procedures are strictly followed. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to security.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, both internal and external, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment, promptly responding to any alerts or suspicious activities.
- Control access to the premises, verifying credentials for all individuals entering and exiting the site.
- Respond effectively and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, following established protocols.
- Complete detailed incident reports, daily logs, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Provide a visible security presence, deterring potential threats and ensuring peace of mind.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Security Licence (Class 1G Guard).
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Demonstrated ability to observe and react to situations calmly and effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in operating security equipment and computer systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a night shift security role.
- Experience in an industrial or logistics environment.
- Advanced security training or certifications (e.g., control room operations).
