Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented NDIS Claims Specialist with a strong finance focus to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely processing of NDIS claims, managing financial reconciliations, and providing essential financial support to our NDIS participants and their families. While the role offers significant Work From Home (WFH) options, candidates should be based in or near Wetherill Park, NSW, for occasional team meetings or training. This is a crucial role for someone passionate about improving financial outcomes and supporting NDIS participants, ensuring compliance with NDIS guidelines and internal financial policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process NDIS claims efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with all NDIS rules and regulations.
  • Manage financial reconciliations for NDIS funding, tracking expenditure against participant plans.
  • Liaise with NDIS participants, their families, support coordinators, and the NDIA regarding funding queries and claim discrepancies.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on NDIS funding processes, budgeting, and financial plan management.
  • Identify and resolve complex billing and payment issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions and communications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for NDIS claims and financial processes.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and analyses related to NDIS funding utilisation.
  • Ensure all financial activities adhere to APM's internal policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in NDIS claims processing or a similar financial administration role within the disability sector.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) framework, pricing guide, and operational guidelines.
  • Proficiency in financial reconciliation and data analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with relevant claims management software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with specific NDIS IT systems or financial management platforms.
  • Previous experience in a remote or hybrid work environment.
