Job Description
Campbelltown Hospital is excited to offer a Medical Residency Intern position with specialist rotation opportunities. This intensive program is designed for ambitious and recently graduated medical professionals eager to gain hands-on experience across various medical and surgical specialties. As a Medical Residency Intern, you will be an integral part of our patient care teams, contributing to diagnostics, treatment planning, and patient management under the supervision of experienced consultants. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in daily ward rounds and contribute to the multidisciplinary team's patient care discussions.

- Formulate differential diagnoses and contribute to the development of patient management plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory analyses and imaging studies.
- Administer medications and perform medical procedures under appropriate supervision.
- Respond to medical emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in educational activities, including grand rounds, teaching sessions, and clinical audits.
- Adhere to professional ethical standards and patient safety protocols.
Required Skills
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Provisional or full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Demonstrated empathy and patient-centered approach.
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
