Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Logistics Analyst to join our dynamic team in Traralgon. This role is crucial for optimizing our supply chain processes, improving operational efficiency, and reducing costs. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex logistics data, identifying trends, forecasting demand, and developing strategies to enhance our delivery and storage capabilities. You will work closely with various departments to implement solutions that drive performance and support our commitment to excellence in logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of logistics data, including transportation costs, inventory levels, and delivery times.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the supply chain and propose actionable solutions for improvement.
  • Develop and implement predictive models for demand forecasting and inventory management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports on logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with warehousing, transportation, and procurement teams to streamline processes.
  • Utilize supply chain software and tools to optimize routing, scheduling, and load planning.
  • Participate in strategic projects aimed at enhancing overall supply chain resilience and cost-effectiveness.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies.
  • Continuously research and evaluate new technologies and methodologies in logistics and supply chain management.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics analysis, supply chain management, or a similar analytical role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
  • Knowledge of lean methodologies or Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with freight management systems or warehouse management systems (WMS).
