Job Description
We are seeking reliable and physically fit individuals to join our team as a Casual Loading Dock Hand at our Hindmarsh facility. This is an excellent opportunity for ongoing casual work, playing a vital role in our daily operations. You will be responsible for the efficient and safe loading and unloading of goods, ensuring that all items are handled with care and processed accurately. We value teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight efficiently and safely from trucks and containers.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests and packing slips.
- Operate manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trolleys.
- Organize and stack goods in designated areas.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized loading dock area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Proven physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or loading dock environment.
- Current Forklift License (LF class).
- Knowledge of manual handling best practices.
- Experience with inventory scanning systems.
