Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our esteemed team in Mount Isa. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented professional looking to build a robust career path within a top-tier law firm. You will work closely with our experienced legal professionals, supporting a diverse range of litigation matters, from discovery through to trial. Key Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive legal research using various databases and resources.
- Assisting with the drafting and preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Managing and organizing large volumes of electronic and physical discovery documents.
- Preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials, including creating exhibit lists and trial binders.
- Liaising with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and experts.
- Maintaining accurate case files and tracking important deadlines.
- Summarizing depositions, interrogatories, and other legal documents.
- Assisting with administrative tasks as required to ensure smooth operation of litigation matters.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Paralegal, preferably with a focus on litigation.
- Strong understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and court rules.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
- Proficiency with e-discovery platforms and case management software (e.g., Relativity, Clio).
- Experience in a corporate or commercial law firm setting.
