Job Description
Join the dedicated team at Quest Apartment Hotels in Dandenong as a Part-time Laundry Sorter. This role involves routine tasks crucial to maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You will be responsible for the efficient sorting, washing, drying, and folding of linen, towels, and other textile items. We are looking for a reliable individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic to contribute to our housekeeping operations during day shifts. Key Responsibilities
- Sort soiled laundry items by type, color, and fabric to prepare for washing.
- Load and unload commercial washing machines and dryers efficiently.
- Monitor wash cycles and ensure proper use of detergents and chemicals.
- Fold, stack, and organize clean linen and towels for distribution.
- Inspect items for stains or damage, reporting any issues to supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift laundry bags (up to 10-15 kg) repeatedly.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry, housekeeping, or similar role.
- Knowledge of different fabric types and care instructions.
