Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and efficient Laundry Attendant to join our team on a casual day roster. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of clean, fresh linen and towels for our guests and various hotel departments. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be key to maintaining our high standards of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold all hotel linen, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironers, safely and efficiently.
- Inspect items for stains, damage, and wear, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of linen and supplies.
- Ensure the laundry area is kept clean, tidy, and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with other hotel operational tasks as required by management.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry or hotel housekeeping role.
- Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment.
- Knowledge of various fabric care instructions.
