Job Description

Silverchain is seeking dedicated In-Home Support Assistants to join our team in South Hedland. This is an incredible opportunity to provide essential care and companionship to elderly clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and enjoy a higher quality of life. No prior experience in aged care is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped and confident in your role. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with meal preparation and light household duties (e.g., tidying, laundry).
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, using aids as required.
- Monitor and report any changes in client condition or concerns to the care coordinator.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients.
- Adhere to care plans and organisational policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- A genuine desire to help and care for elderly individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications
- Current Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a care-giving role (e.g., family care, volunteer work).
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent (though not required, it is a plus).
