Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Immigration Case Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role is crucial in supporting our solicitors and legal executives in managing a varied caseload of immigration matters, with a particular emphasis on applications and appeals related to UK Home Affairs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing documentation, liaising with clients and official bodies, and ensuring the smooth progression of cases. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist solicitors and legal executives with all aspects of immigration casework, focusing on Home Affairs applications (e.g., spouse visas, ILR, naturalisation, asylum).
  • Draft legal documents, correspondence, and representations to the Home Office and other relevant bodies.
  • Prepare and collate bundles for submission, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date with changes in UK immigration law and policy.
  • Liaise directly with clients, providing updates, gathering necessary information, and explaining complex procedures in an accessible manner.
  • Manage case files, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support with administrative tasks, including diary management, scheduling appointments, and managing incoming communications.
  • Assist with client intake and initial consultations, screening potential cases for suitability.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
