Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Honey Harvesters to join our seasonal team in Katherine, Northern Territory. This casual role involves working day shifts during the peak honey harvesting season. If you enjoy physical outdoor work, are comfortable around bees, and are looking for a rewarding temporary position, we encourage you to apply. You will be an integral part of our production cycle, ensuring the efficient and careful collection of honey from our hives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the extraction and collection of honey from bee hives.
- Operate and maintain beekeeping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload honey boxes and other equipment.
- Clean and prepare beekeeping equipment and work areas.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures, especially related to bee handling and site safety.
- Work effectively as part of a team under the guidance of experienced beekeepers.
- Perform general farm duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Comfortable working around bees (protective gear provided).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures or willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agriculture, farming, or manual labor.
- Experience with beekeeping or an understanding of bee behavior.
- Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation.
