Job Description
We are actively seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Function Set-Up Crew on a casual, weekend basis. This role is an excellent opportunity for anyone seeking flexible working hours, who enjoys a physically active role, and is eager to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring our hotel’s events run seamlessly. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in preparing event spaces, setting up essential equipment, and assisting with the efficient post-event breakdown.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up tables, chairs, staging, and other furniture items precisely according to event specifications.
- Assist with the careful arrangement of audio-visual equipment, lighting, and various decorative elements.
- Ensure all designated event spaces are immaculately clean, tidy, and perfectly prepared for guests prior to their arrival.
- Efficiently and carefully dismantle event setups following the conclusion of functions.
- Safely transport equipment and supplies between storage areas and the respective event venues.
- Strictly adhere to all established safety guidelines and hotel operational procedures.
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the events and broader operations teams.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects safely and efficiently.
- Strong work ethic and proven reliability, particularly for scheduled weekend shifts.
- Ability to meticulously follow instructions and contribute effectively within a team environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure setups are precise, aesthetically pleasing, and meet all requirements.
- A proactive approach to tasks and a genuine willingness to learn and adapt.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, event management, or manual labor roles is advantageous, but not strictly essential.
