Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Fodder Factory Hand to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art animal feed production facility in Wingfield, Adelaide. This role is crucial to the efficient operation of our plant, involving various tasks related to the manufacturing, packaging, and dispatch of animal feed products. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production machinery for mixing, grinding, and pelleting animal feed ingredients.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products using forklifts or other equipment (training provided if necessary).
  • Perform quality control checks on raw materials and finished feed products according to established guidelines.
  • Package, label, and prepare finished feed products for dispatch.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
  • Assist with general factory maintenance tasks as required.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to WHS and food safety standards.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills to follow instructions and record data.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, factory, or production environment.
  • Current forklift license and experience operating material handling equipment.
  • Understanding of food safety or HACCP principles.
  • Experience in the agricultural or animal feed industry.
