Job Description
Join Ridley Corporation Limited as a Fodder Factory Hand in our Palmerston facility, where you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality animal feed. This is a hands-on position vital to our operations, involving various tasks from material handling to operating production machinery. We are looking for reliable individuals who are physically capable, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a productive team environment. Weekly pay ensures a consistent income for your hard work.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and monitoring fodder processing equipment.
- Loading and unloading raw materials and finished products using forklifts and other equipment.
- Performing quality checks on feed ingredients and finished goods.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
- Assisting with general factory maintenance and troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
- Adhering to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborating effectively with team members to ensure smooth production flow.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Basic understanding of machinery operation and willingness to learn.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality control.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or factory environment, particularly in animal feed or agriculture.
- Forklift license (LF) and experience operating forklifts.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
