Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Exhibition Set-Up Staff to join our casual day roster for various events in Norwood and the surrounding Adelaide metropolitan area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for flexible work, gaining experience in the dynamic events industry, and contributing to the creation of memorable exhibition spaces. As part of our team, you will be instrumental in the physical setup and dismantle of event infrastructure, ensuring everything is ready for a seamless event experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of exhibition materials and equipment.
  • Assemble and dismantle display stands, staging, signage, furniture, and other event infrastructure according to specifications.
  • Lay down flooring, install lighting, and place decorative elements as directed.
  • Ensure all equipment is handled safely and returned to storage in good condition.
  • Work collaboratively with the events team and other staff to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the setup and dismantle phases.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 25kg) and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Availability to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as per event schedules.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in event setup, warehousing, or manual labor roles.
  • Valid Driver's License and access to reliable transport.
  • Forklift license or experience operating other heavy machinery (advantageous but not required).
  • First Aid certification.
