Job Description
Join Boral’s dynamic team in Tamworth as an Excavator Spotter. This crucial safety role involves guiding heavy machinery operators on construction sites, ensuring the safe movement of excavators and other equipment, and maintaining a secure work environment. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate. Key Responsibilities
- Act as a dedicated spotter for excavator and other heavy machinery operators on site.
- Provide clear, consistent, and timely signals and communication to operators.
- Monitor the immediate work area for potential hazards, personnel, and obstructions.
- Maintain constant visual contact with the excavator and its surroundings during operation.
- Assist operators in navigating tight spaces and areas with limited visibility.
- Participate in daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to site supervision.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- White Card (General Construction Induction Training Card – can be obtained during training).
- Basic understanding of construction site operations.
- Previous experience in a role requiring high levels of alertness and communication.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
