Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and physically fit Excavation Labourers to join our dynamic team on a major infrastructure project in Wyong, NSW. This role offers top rates for individuals who possess a valid White Card and are eager to contribute to significant earthworks and civil construction activities. You will be an integral part of our crew, supporting excavation, trenching, and site preparation tasks, ensuring operations run smoothly and safely. Key Responsibilities
- Operate various hand and power tools safely and efficiently to support excavation activities.
- Assist with trenching, backfilling, and compaction of earth materials.
- Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Support skilled tradespeople and plant operators as required.
- Perform general site labouring duties, including site preparation and clean-up.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant WHS legislation.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Inspect equipment and tools for defects and report any issues promptly.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling temporary works, scaffolding, and safety barriers.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding and commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS) practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to the job site in Wyong, NSW.
- Excellent time management and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in civil construction or excavation.
- First Aid certification.
- Traffic Control tickets (e.g., Yellow Card).
- Experience operating small plant equipment (e.g., plate compactors, jackhammers).
- Basic knowledge of site plans and digging procedures.
