Job Description
Are you ready to power up your career? Downer Group is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our team as a 1st Year Electrical Apprentice in Bendigo. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for practical work and a desire to learn a valuable trade. You will work alongside experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to real-world projects from day one. Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Learn to interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations on site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Help with site preparation and clean-up tasks.
- Attend TAFE or other approved training as required to complete your apprenticeship.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to learning and professional development.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Completion of Year 10 or equivalent education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current driver's license (P-plates accepted).
- Pre-apprenticeship course in electrical or related trade.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools (e.g., in a school workshop or personal projects).
