Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Dispensing Optician to join our vibrant team in Shepparton. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert dispensing advice and guidance to customers, helping them select appropriate frames and lenses based on their prescription, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences.
- Perform accurate frame adjustments, repairs, and fittings to ensure optimal comfort and vision.
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and contact lens wear and care.
- Process orders, manage inventory of frames and lenses, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and appealing retail environment.
- Collaborate with Optometrists and other team members to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Stay updated with the latest optical products, technologies, and industry trends.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Dispensing Optician or Optical Assistant with dispensing responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of optical products, lens types, and frame materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-centric approach with a passion for helping people.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing and measurements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing or equivalent qualification.
- Experience with various optical dispensing software systems.
