Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Dispatch Runner to join our team in Durack, Northern Territory, on a casual day roster basis. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of our logistics facility, involving the timely collection and delivery of documents, mail, and small packages, as well as providing support to our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess excellent time management skills, and be committed to maintaining our high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform timely and accurate collection and delivery of documents, mail, and small packages to various internal and external locations.
- Assist with light warehouse duties, including sorting, packing, and loading as required.
- Maintain accurate logs of all deliveries and collections, ensuring proper documentation.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.
Required Skills
- A valid Australian driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to handle lifting and moving packages.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dispatch, courier, or similar logistics role.
