Job Description
Are you ready to jump into a fast-paced and supportive kitchen environment? Palmerston Tavern is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Dishwashing Steward to join our team immediately. No prior experience is necessary, and you don’t even need a resume to apply – we’re looking for individuals with a great attitude and a willingness to work! This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, and pans.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, kitchen floors, and waste disposal units.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required.
- Ensure proper storage of cleaned items.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
