Job Description
Norco Co-operative is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Dairy Shed Assistant to join our team in Dalby for part-time morning shifts. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of our dairy farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our herd and the efficient production of milk. The successful candidate will assist with various tasks within the dairy shed, maintaining high standards of hygiene and animal care. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with milking cows during morning shifts, following established procedures.
- Clean and maintain the dairy shed and milking equipment to high hygiene standards.
- Monitor cows for signs of illness or injury and report observations to the farm manager.
- Prepare milking equipment and areas before milking sessions.
- Assist with moving cows to and from the milking parlor.
- Perform general farm duties as required, including light maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to all animal welfare guidelines and safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with the farm team to ensure efficient operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Physical fitness, capable of standing for long periods and performing manual tasks.
- A genuine interest in animal welfare and agricultural practices.

Preferred Qualifications
