Job Description
We are seeking motivated and reliable Cotton Gin Labourers to join our team for the upcoming seasonal ginning operations in Parramatta, New South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for seasonal work with the added benefits of a performance-based bonus and provided accommodation. As a Cotton Gin Labourer, you will be an integral part of our operations, ensuring the efficient and safe processing of cotton. No prior experience in ginning is necessary, as full training will be provided to suitable candidates. This role requires physical fitness, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various ginning machinery under supervision.
- Perform general labouring tasks, including cleaning, sweeping, and maintenance of the ginning facility.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of cotton modules and bales.
- Conduct quality checks on cotton fibre and seed as per operational standards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily production targets.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Basic English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, or industrial environment.
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery (valid license preferred).
- First Aid certification.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and shifts, during peak season.
