Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Cost Engineering Lead to oversee all cost-related aspects of major infrastructure projects within VINCI Construction Maroc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive cost control systems, ensuring financial efficiency and project profitability from inception to completion. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of large-scale construction project economics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust cost control strategies and procedures for major infrastructure projects.
  • Lead the preparation of detailed project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Monitor project expenditures against budget, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis, risk assessments, and value engineering studies.
  • Manage change orders and claims, ensuring fair and accurate cost adjustments.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to project managers and stakeholders on cost-related matters.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Mentor and develop a team of cost engineers and analysts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with procurement, planning, and engineering teams to optimize project costs.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in cost engineering and control for major infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Primavera P6 Cost Management).
  • Strong understanding of project finance, contractual terms, and risk management principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English and French (Arabic is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Professional certification such as PMP, AACE International Certified Cost Professional (CCP), or MRICS.
  • Experience working on large-scale public-private partnership (PPP) projects.
  • Familiarity with Moroccan construction market dynamics and regulations.
