Job Description
Are you passionate about agriculture and eager to make a tangible impact on rural communities? Attijariwafa Bank is offering an exciting Agribusiness Intern position focused on Rural Finance. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial services tailored for the agricultural sector in Morocco. You will work closely with our rural banking teams, contribute to market research, assist in credit analysis for smallholder farmers, and support initiatives aimed at improving financial literacy and access in underserved areas. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection and analysis of market data related to agricultural commodities and rural economies.
- Support the preparation of credit applications and financial assessments for agricultural clients.
- Participate in field visits to rural communities and agricultural projects to understand client needs and operational contexts.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial literacy programs for farmers and rural entrepreneurs.
- Aid in monitoring the performance of agricultural loan portfolios and identifying potential risks or opportunities.
- Prepare reports and presentations on agribusiness trends and rural finance initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance product offerings and services for the agricultural sector.
Required Skills
- Strong academic record, preferably in Agribusiness, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Arabic (French is a plus).
- Demonstrated interest in agriculture, rural development, and financial inclusion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in a financial institution, agricultural organization, or community development project.
- Familiarity with the Moroccan agricultural landscape and rural banking challenges.
