Job Description
Join the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service as a Community Health Intern and contribute to vital public health projects within the Bundaberg community. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in community health, working alongside experienced professionals on initiatives designed to improve local health outcomes. You will support various public health programs, engage with community stakeholders, and assist in research and data collection efforts, focusing on areas such as health promotion, disease prevention, and community engagement. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community health programs and public health projects.
- Conduct community outreach and engagement activities to promote health awareness and services.
- Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for public health initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of health education materials and resources.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external community organizations.
- Participate in team meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Provide administrative support to the public health unit as required.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Public Health, Health Sciences, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (for community outreach).
