Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Cold Store Labourer to join our dynamic team in Dalby, QLD. This is a critical role ensuring the efficient and safe movement, storage, and retrieval of our premium beef products within our state-of-the-art cold storage facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading pallets of beef products using manual and powered pallet jacks (training provided if needed).
- Organizing and stacking products efficiently in cold storage rooms.
- Performing regular inventory checks and assisting with stock rotation.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment within the cold store.
- Operating in temperatures ranging from 0°C to -25°C with appropriate protective gear.
- Adhering strictly to food safety, occupational health and safety (OH&S), and company policies.
- Assisting with general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in cold environments for extended periods (with provided thermal gear).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling products.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 25kg).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cold storage or warehouse environment.
- Forklift license (LF) or experience operating powered pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of food handling and hygiene practices.
- First Aid certification.
