Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Client Care Officer to join our dynamic team in Bundaberg. This ongoing full-time role is pivotal in ensuring our patients and their families receive exceptional service and support throughout their healthcare journey. You will be the primary point of contact for inquiries, appointments, and administrative support, contributing directly to a positive and seamless experience within the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, providing courteous and professional assistance.
- Manage patient appointments, admissions, and discharges efficiently and accurately.
- Handle inquiries, provide information, and resolve concerns in a sensitive and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage confidential information in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Process billing and payment inquiries, assisting patients with financial information as needed.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using office software and patient management systems.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a strong client-focused approach.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Medical Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with specific healthcare management software (e.g., EPIC, Cerner).
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
