Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Civil Labourers to join our growing team in Wagga Wagga, NSW, on an ongoing, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in civil construction, with potential for visa sponsorship for eligible candidates. You will be an integral part of our project teams, contributing to the successful completion of various civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and utilities. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons and machine operators on various civil construction sites.
- Perform general labouring duties, including digging, trenching, shovelling, and raking.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Operate hand and power tools as instructed and in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of work zones, including traffic management where required.
- Carry out basic spotter duties for plant and equipment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Strong understanding and commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take instruction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Construction Induction White Card (essential for working on Australian construction sites).
- Current Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
- Experience operating small plant and equipment (e.g., compaction equipment, jackhammers).
- First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in civil construction or a similar outdoor labouring role.
