Job Description

Are you a proactive and ambitious individual eager to kickstart your career in the dynamic world of construction project management? Lendlease is offering a unique Cadet Project Coordinator role with a dedicated mentorship pathway. This entry-level position is designed for passionate individuals who are ready to learn from industry experts, contribute to significant projects in Parramatta, and grow into future leaders. You will gain hands-on experience across various stages of construction projects, from planning and coordination to execution and completion, all while being guided by experienced project managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely project progression.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, including reports, contracts, and safety plans.
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, and progress meetings, taking detailed notes and action items.
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets, flagging potential issues to the project team.
  • Support the procurement process, including drafting purchase orders and managing inventory.
  • Facilitate clear communication among all project stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all company safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Strong desire to learn and develop a career in construction project management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate (within 12 months) of a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Prior volunteer work, internships, or part-time experience in a construction-related environment.
  • Valid Australian Driver's License.
