Job Description
Join the Woolworths Group team as a Bread Delivery Helper for our night shifts in Glenorchy. This vital role supports our logistics operations by ensuring fresh bread and bakery products are delivered promptly and safely to various locations. You will work closely with our delivery drivers, assisting with loading, unloading, and navigating routes. This position requires physical stamina, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading bread and bakery products from delivery vehicles.
- Verify product quantities and ensure accuracy of deliveries against manifests.
- Navigate designated delivery routes efficiently with the driver.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations during transport.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the delivery vehicle and storage areas.
- Provide excellent support to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Report any discrepancies or issues encountered during deliveries to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian driver's license (minimum P2 or higher).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 25kg) repeatedly.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance for night shift work.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and teamwork attitude.
- Basic understanding of product handling and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery, warehouse, or retail environment.
- Experience working night shifts.
- Knowledge of local Glenorchy and greater Hobart areas.
