Are you an outdoorsy individual with a passion for the marine environment? Riviera Boats Service & Storage (Griffith Partner) is seeking a dedicated Boat Yard Hand to join our energetic team in East Griffith. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on physical work, enjoys being around boats, and wants to contribute to a leading marine service operation. You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks crucial to maintaining our yard and supporting our valued customers in the beautiful Riverina region. While the job title mentions ‘Coastal Work’, this role is focused on the comprehensive care of boats within our inland marine service facility, ensuring all vessels are in pristine condition and handled with expert care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the safe movement, launching, and retrieving of various boats using appropriate yard equipment.
- Performing thorough cleaning and detailing of boats, ensuring they meet Riviera's high standards.
- Supporting the service team with basic maintenance tasks, including preparation for anti-fouling, engine bay cleaning, and general repairs.
- Maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and optimal organization of the boat yard and associated facilities.
- Providing friendly and efficient customer service, assisting clients with boat access and general inquiries.
- Operating yard equipment safely, such as pressure washers, forklifts (if certified), and various hand tools.
- Adhering strictly to all company safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
- Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance marine service skills.
