Job Description

Are you looking to kickstart a career with a reputable company and get paid while you learn? Allied Pickfords in Townsville is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Furniture Removalist Offsiders to join our growing team. No prior experience is required – we offer comprehensive paid training to equip you with all the skills needed to excel in this physically demanding yet rewarding role. You’ll be an integral part of our team, assisting with the safe and efficient relocation of furniture and personal effects for our valued customers. This is a full-time position offering stable work and weekly pay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead drivers and other removalists with loading and unloading furniture and household goods from residential and commercial properties.
  • Safely pack, wrap, and protect items to prevent damage during transit.
  • Disassemble and reassemble furniture as required.
  • Operate moving equipment such as trolleys, dollies, and ramps.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Keep trucks and equipment clean and organised.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, bending, and carrying.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Australian Driver's License (Car or above).
