Fremantle K9 Retreat is seeking a dedicated and energetic Boarding Kennel Hand to join our friendly team for part-time day shifts. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in the daily care, welfare, and cleanliness of our beloved canine guests, ensuring they have a happy, healthy, and comfortable stay. Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily feeding and fresh water according to strict schedules and individual dietary requirements.
• Supervise dogs during playtime and exercise sessions, ensuring their safety, engagement, and social well-being.
• Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, and common areas thoroughly to maintain a hygienic and disease-free environment.
• Monitor the health and behavior of all animals, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to senior staff or veterinary personnel.
• Administer medications accurately as directed by veterinary staff or management guidelines.
• Assist with animal check-ins and check-outs, interacting professionally and courteously with pet owners.
• Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including laundry, waste disposal, and organizing supplies, to ensure a clean and organized workspace.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of feeding, medication administration, and daily animal activities.

• Physical stamina and strength to handle large dogs, lift heavy bags of food and supplies, and perform demanding cleaning duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a kennel, veterinary clinic, animal shelter, or similar animal care environment.
• Basic knowledge of dog behavior, breeds, and fundamental animal welfare principles.
• Current pet first aid and/or CPR certification is highly regarded.
• Valid driver's license for potential emergency transport or supply runs.
