Job Description

Are you passionate about animals and looking to start your career in pet care? Hanrob Pet Hotels is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Boarding Kennel Hand. This entry-level position requires no prior experience, as comprehensive training will be provided. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of dogs and cats staying at our Wetherill Park facility. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily care for dogs and cats, including feeding, watering, and administering medication as directed.
  • Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and common spaces to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Monitor animal behaviour and health, promptly reporting any concerns or changes to senior staff.
  • Supervise playtime and exercise sessions, ensuring the safety and engagement of all animals.
  • Assist with basic grooming tasks such as brushing and bathing.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and animal handling procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of feeding, medication, and animal activities.
  • Assist with check-ins and check-outs of pets as needed.

Required Skills

  • A genuine passion for animals and their welfare.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties that may include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • No prior professional experience in animal care is required; full training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous personal experience caring for pets (dogs or cats).
  • Basic understanding of animal behaviour.
  • Animal first aid certification.
  • Current driver's license.
