Job Description
Are you passionate about coffee and eager to start a rewarding career in the vibrant hospitality industry? The Coffee Club Karratha is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Barista Trainees to join our growing team. No prior experience is required – we believe in investing in our people and will provide comprehensive, hands-on training to transform you into a skilled barista. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the art of coffee making, develop customer service expertise, and work in a fun, fast-paced environment at one of Karratha’s most popular cafes. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in our comprehensive barista training program.
- Learn to prepare a wide range of coffee beverages to The Coffee Club's high standards.
- Assist senior baristas and cafe staff with daily operations, including food preparation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and cafe area, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and exceptional customer service, taking orders and answering queries.
- Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to a positive, energetic, and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills in coffee making and customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for customer satisfaction.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanour.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail role (advantageous but not essential).
- Basic understanding of food safety principles (full training will be provided).
- A genuine interest in coffee, food service, and the dynamic cafe culture.
