Job Description

Join Linfox as an Appliance Service Lead, where you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining the operational readiness of our diverse fleet appliances. This position involves leading a team of technicians, overseeing preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring timely repairs of all on-board and depot appliances, contributing to the seamless operation of our logistics network. You will be responsible for diagnostic troubleshooting, quality control, and adherence to all safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of appliance service technicians.
  • Oversee the scheduling, execution, and documentation of all appliance maintenance activities.
  • Conduct advanced diagnostic troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of fleet appliances (e.g., refrigeration units, heating systems, power generators, vehicle-mounted equipment).
  • Manage parts inventory and procurement for appliance maintenance.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to maximize appliance uptime.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to team members.
  • Maintain accurate service records and generate reports on fleet appliance performance.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in appliance service and fleet maintenance.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills for complex appliance systems.
  • Proficiency with various hand and power tools specific to appliance repair.
  • Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade qualification in refrigeration mechanics, automotive electrical, or a related field.
  • Experience with telematics and fleet management software.
  • Forklift license.
  • Previous experience in a similar lead or supervisory role.
