Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AO4 Program Officer to join our team in Broome. This role provides essential administrative and program support to ensure the efficient delivery of educational initiatives and services within the region. You will play a crucial part in coordinating projects, managing documentation, and facilitating communication to support our commitment to student success. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to program managers and team members.
  • Coordinate program activities, meetings, and events, including logistical arrangements and minute-taking.
  • Prepare and disseminate program-related documentation, reports, and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Assist with budget monitoring and financial administration tasks as required.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders, including schools and community groups.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of program delivery processes and systems.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative or program support role.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in administration, business, or a related field.
  • Experience working within a government or education sector environment.
  • Familiarity with record management systems.
  • Understanding of regional educational challenges and opportunities in Western Australia.
