Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aid Program Coordinator to join our Federal Global Outreach team. This vital role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and monitoring of aid programs funded through federal government partnerships. You will ensure compliance with donor requirements, manage project budgets, and contribute to the strategic development of our global outreach initiatives, ensuring maximum impact in vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of federal-funded aid programs, from proposal development to reporting and evaluation.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal government donor agreements, regulations, and reporting standards.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with federal government representatives and other key stakeholders.
- Oversee program budgets, monitor expenditure, and ensure financial accountability.
- Coordinate with in-country teams to ensure effective program implementation and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Prepare comprehensive program reports, including financial and narrative updates, for federal donors.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to program delivery and donor compliance.
- Contribute to the development of new program proposals and funding opportunities.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across various program teams.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex aid or development programs, particularly with federal funding.
- Strong understanding of international development principles and practices.
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, planning, and reporting.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in International Development, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience working with Australian federal government funding mechanisms (e.g., DFAT).
- Familiarity with program monitoring and evaluation frameworks (e.g., Logical Framework Approach).
- Proficiency in a second language relevant to World Vision's operational areas.
