Job Description
Join Chemist Warehouse as an AHPRA Registered Pharmacist in Townsville. This role focuses on delivering exceptional community care, offering professional pharmaceutical services, and ensuring positive health outcomes for our diverse customer base. You will be instrumental in dispensing medications, providing expert health advice, and contributing to the overall success of our pharmacy operations. Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely, adhering to all legal and professional standards.
- Provide expert advice on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosage, side effects, and interactions.
- Conduct patient counseling on various health conditions, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Administer vaccinations and other professional services as per AHPRA guidelines and company policy.
- Supervise pharmacy assistants and other support staff, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and expiry date management to prevent stock-outs and waste.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Actively participate in health promotion initiatives and community engagement programs.
Required Skills
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist.
- Demonstrated experience in a community pharmacy setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical knowledge and professional judgment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Immunisation accreditation (e.g., PSA, AACP).
- Additional postgraduate qualifications in pharmacy or related health fields.
- Experience with MedAdvisor or similar patient engagement platforms.
- Valid Australian driver's license (for potential community outreach).
- Multilingual abilities.
