Job Description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented 3D Modeler to join our dynamic Design & Engineering team in Noosa Heads. This role is crucial for bringing our architectural and design concepts to life through precise and engaging 3D models. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and designers, translating sketches and specifications into high-quality digital representations. If you have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of design principles, and proficiency in industry-standard modeling software, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D models from 2D drawings, sketches, and reference materials.
- Collaborate with architects and designers to ensure models accurately reflect design intent and specifications.
- Prepare models for rendering, animation, and virtual reality applications.
- Maintain organized file structures and adhere to project naming conventions.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input on model feasibility.
- Optimize models for performance and efficiency across various platforms.
- Stay updated with the latest 3D modeling software, techniques, and industry trends.
- Assist in the creation of visual presentations and client-facing materials.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Rhinoceros, SketchUp, Revit, or similar.
- Strong understanding of architectural and engineering drafting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in modeling.
- Ability to interpret complex design documents and translate them into 3D.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion).
- Familiarity with parametric design tools (e.g., Grasshopper).
- Knowledge of BIM methodologies and workflows.
- Portfolio demonstrating high-quality 3D modeling work in design or architecture.
