Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with government clients to understand their needs and challenges, developing innovative solutions.
  • Conduct research, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement to inform project strategies and recommendations.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of public sector projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and other communication materials for client and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to policy analysis, program evaluation, and strategic planning initiatives within various government domains.
  • Participate in team meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance personal and professional capabilities.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by providing high-quality service and fostering trust.
  • Stay abreast of public sector trends, regulations, and best practices to inform project work.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated interest in public service and government operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MPA, MPP, MBA).
  • Previous experience (internship or professional) in a government agency, non-profit, or public sector consulting.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Understanding of the Australian public sector landscape.
