Job Description
Are you looking to kick-start a rewarding career in the electrical trade but have no prior experience? Fredon is offering an incredible opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Electrician’s Offsider in Werribee, Victoria. This is a hands-on, entry-level role designed to provide you with the foundational skills and experience needed to become a qualified electrician. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, learn about electrical systems, tools, and safety protocols, and contribute to significant projects. Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified electricians with various tasks on commercial and industrial sites.
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from work areas.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including site clean-up and waste removal.
- Learn and apply safe work practices and procedures under supervision.
- Follow instructions diligently and ask questions to enhance understanding.
- Help with the preparation of conduits, cables, and other electrical components.
- Undertake general labouring duties as required to support the project team.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
- Positive attitude and commitment to safety.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic physical fitness to perform manual tasks.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must hold a valid White Card (Construction Induction Card) or be willing to obtain one immediately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Australian Driver's License and reliable transport.
- Previous experience in a manual labour role (non-electrical).
- Basic understanding of tools and their uses.
