Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Road Marker Helper, specializing in night operations. This physically demanding role is crucial for maintaining the safety and efficiency of Hobart’s road network. You will be working under the guidance of experienced road marking professionals, assisting with the preparation, application, and removal of road markings. This position offers high hourly pay in recognition of the vital night work involved, ensuring our roads are clearly marked and safe for all users by daylight. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and pack-down of road marking equipment and worksites.
- Prepare road surfaces by cleaning, sweeping, and applying primers.
- Handle and apply various road marking materials, including paint, thermoplastic, and preformed markings.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and traffic management plans.
- Operate and maintain hand tools and smaller machinery as directed.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform general labouring duties as required to support road marking projects.

- Current White Card (General Construction Induction Card) or willingness to obtain one.
