Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Inventory Counters for casual work with travel opportunities across regional Queensland, based out of Mackay. This role is perfect for individuals looking for flexible hours, a dynamic work environment, and the chance to contribute to the accuracy of our stock management. You will be responsible for meticulously counting and recording inventory in various store locations, ensuring our records are precise and up-to-date. Travel to different sites will be an essential part of this role, with all travel expenses covered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct accurate manual counts of merchandise and assets across various store departments.
  • Utilize inventory counting equipment and systems efficiently.
  • Verify product descriptions, quantities, and locations against existing records.
  • Identify discrepancies and report them clearly to supervisors.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
  • Travel to different store locations as required, often involving early starts.
  • Work collaboratively with store teams to minimize disruption during inventory processes.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry.
  • Good physical stamina, capable of standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (or willingness to travel via company transport).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in inventory counting, stocktake, or warehousing.
  • Familiarity with retail operations and product categories.
  • Experience using handheld scanning devices.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including early mornings and occasional weekends.
