Job Description

Toll Group in Mackay is offering an incredible opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join us as a Forklift Trainee. No prior forklift license or experience is required – we provide comprehensive, fully paid training to help you obtain your forklift license and develop the essential skills for a successful career. This is a fantastic chance to learn from industry experts, gain valuable experience, and become a vital part of our operational team.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all provided training programs to obtain a forklift license and master safe operating procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods under supervision.
- Learn to safely operate forklifts (once licensed) to move, stack, and retrieve materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Conduct pre-start checks on equipment and report any faults or maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
- Support inventory management tasks, including counting and scanning products.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- No previous forklift license required (training provided).
- Strong willingness to learn and commit to training.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manual labour environment (desirable, but not essential).
- A basic understanding of workplace health and safety principles.
