Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and physically capable Cable Dragging Labourers to join our civil engineering team in Tully, QLD. This full-time role offers highly competitive pay and a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, perfect for those looking for stable work in a critical infrastructure sector. You will be responsible for assisting in the installation and maintenance of underground cabling networks, essential for telecommunications and power distribution. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently drag and pull cables through conduits, trenches, and underground systems.
- Assist with trenching, excavation, and backfilling activities as required.
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and site-specific regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Perform other general labourer duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety (or willingness to learn rapidly).
- Legally entitled to work in Australia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a civil or construction labourer role.
- White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- First Aid certification.
- Valid Australian driver's license.
