Job Description

Citywide is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Garden Maintenance Hand to join our team in Fortitude Valley, QLD. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading environmental and infrastructure solutions provider, contributing to the beauty and sustainability of our community spaces.
As a Garden Maintenance Hand, you will be an integral part of our groundskeeping team, responsible for ensuring the pristine condition of various gardens and green spaces. We provide all the necessary tools and equipment, so you just need to bring your positive attitude and willingness to learn and work hard. If you love the outdoors and hands-on work, this On-site, Full-Time role offering a salary of 55000-75000 AUD per year is for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general garden maintenance tasks such as weeding, mulching, pruning, and planting.
- Operate various garden tools and equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of garden beds and surrounding areas.
- Assist with the installation of new plants, irrigation systems, and landscaping features.
- Monitor plant health and report any issues to the team leader.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with a team to achieve project goals and maintain high standards.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safety in the workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or outdoor manual labour is a plus, but not essential.
- Current Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
- Basic knowledge of plants, gardening techniques, and pest control.
- First Aid certification.
