Job Description
We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as a Casual Loading Dock Hand at our Dandenong facility. This is an ongoing casual role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to be an integral part of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for the efficient and safe loading and unloading of goods, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of shipments. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, be physically fit, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload freight from trucks and containers.
- Move goods within the warehouse using manual and powered equipment (once trained and licensed).
- Verify accuracy of shipments against manifests and packing slips.
- Organise and stack goods appropriately in the loading dock area.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely (up to 25kg).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (even if informal).
- Current forklift license (LF/LO class) is a bonus, but not essential.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
